Twenty-three-year-old Avreen was born in Amritsar, India, moved to Dubai, UAE at age 5, and at 17, returned with her family to India, where she still resides. She cannot recall when music was not her passion and, as she says, her “savior.” Avreen used the difficult times of the pandemic to work on her music and found a transformative online program that helped further her songwriting abilities, which led to the writing of “Other Side”. When she came across a Future Youth Records artist on Instagram, she decided to submit her song. “With the help of FYR, I got the opportunity to bring my song 'Other side' to life, which was nothing short of a dream to me. I got to work with some amazing people and got to learn so much along the way.
“My music and lyrics are all about speaking my truth,” she explains. “Through my songs, I try to talk about love, hope, faith and also my occasional struggles with anxiety and self-doubt. Songwriting for me has always been a way of finding and sometimes re-discovering myself.” Her biggest mission as an Artist is to heal and connect with as many people as she can through the songs she writes.
