FYR360

Youth Artist Development Program

FYR360 is a five-month youth artist development program where youth enrolled receive intensive training in key aspects of the music industry. All training is provided by industry leaders and world-renowned experts. We offer two program sessions per year: February - June and July - November. Space is very limited!

Program Modules

  • Music Production

  • Songwriting

  • Marketing/PR

  • Music Business

  • Live Performance/Touring

  • Video Production

How The Program Works

Each month, youth enrolled receive two 60-minute video workshops over Zoom on music production and one additional topic. Topics include songwriting, marketing/PR, music business, video production, and touring/live performance. Those unable to attend the live workshops can access the recorded videos on the Program's archive page.

Between workshops, youth work on related assignments and are given feedback from our team. Assignments are due on flexible terms to accommodate school and holiday schedules.

The Program culminates into youth each producing:

  • A song promoting a social justice theme

  • A short Artist promotional video

  • A press release

  • An Artist landing page

Youth must apply to this Program and are accepted based on their needs, potential, and commitment. Applications are evaluated through surveys, an audition recording, and a short letter describing why they want this experience.

The enrollment fee of $1,500 is waived for ALL youth regardless of socio-economic status. This is made possible thanks to our generous supporters. Youth Program works will be shared with their supporter(s) at the end of the Program.

All FYR360 youths receive priority consideration on FYR releases. If selected, they receive a $500 stipend, free professional production and promotion support, and global distribution on all major platforms while retaining 100% of the rights to their music.

What others are saying

This entire experience has truly been such a privilege for me, as a musician and as a person. Thank you for creating this platform for upcoming artists, and driving initiatives for change in our society!
— Lebogang Mbuyisa (24, South Africa)
“I think Future Youth Records is an amazing organization. It gives young people a voice and the opportunity for young people to advocate for social and environmental justice.”
— Jenna Coughlan (18, Ireland)
I loved hearing these young voices. Even the ones that were still looking for their unique sound and expression. You could really hear the potential. These were all sorts of storytellers finding their way really varied hooks and visions - musical and lyrical ways into the assignment.
— Jonatha Brooke (Singer/Songwriter)
